Our French jazz band brings the sound of Parisian swing and Django Reinhardt-inspired jazz to weddings, cocktail hours, corporate events, private parties, and restaurants throughout New York City.

Available as a duo, trio, quartet, or larger ensemble, the group can create anything from an intimate café atmosphere to a lively vintage swing set.

A French Jazz Band for Your Event

The band can be tailored from an intimate duo or trio to a larger ensemble featuring guitar, upright bass, violin, accordion, and French vocals. Repertoire draws from Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club tradition, along with classic French songs associated with artists such as Édith Piaf and Josephine Baker, including favorites like “La Vie en Rose.” The music can stay elegant and atmospheric for cocktails and dinner or become more lively and swinging for a featured performance.

French Jazz for New York City Events

Charlie Roman Jazz Band regularly performs French and gypsy jazz at New York City’s iconic Pastis, including its Bastille Day celebration as well as special New Year’s Day and Christmas events. The band has also performed for the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., bringing an elegant Parisian-inspired sound to weddings, corporate gatherings, restaurants, and private events. Charlie also regularly performs alongside acclaimed French jazz guitarist Stéphane Wrembel.
